The TTR4000 is Richmond’s heavy-duty battery-powered electric tug, designed to move wheeled loads of up to 4000kg across sealed, flat surfaces. Built for controlled handling of heavy equipment in industrial environments, it allows a single operator to safely transport large trolleys, bins or mobile machinery with minimal effort. The walk-behind design provides excellent visibility and fine control in tight indoor spaces, making it ideal for warehouses, production floors and commercial facilities. Towing performance depends on both the surface and the wheels supporting the load. For example, loads on steel wheels running on steel tracks require significantly less force than those on soft rubber wheels on asphalt. On flat surfaces, the TTR4000 can move up to 4000kg. On a 3-degree incline, it can tow up to 2000kg. On a 6-degree incline, capacity reduces to 1000kg. Stopping distances will vary depending on speed, gradient and surface. For any loads over 2000kg, Richmond recommends using braked trolleys or trailers, unless deemed safe to do otherwise. Manual handling risks are not limited to lifting. Strain can also result from pushing, pulling, holding or manoeuvring equipment, especially in high-use environments. The TTR4000 is designed to reduce physical effort and minimise injury risks by providing a safe and controlled alternative to manual movement.
