Custom Polyurethane Moulding for OEMs and Global Partners
Our in-house engineering team designs and manufactures polyurethane components for original equipment manufacturers, distributors and project partners in Australia and international markets – from one-off prototypes to repeat production runs.

Richmond Rolling Solutions has been customising polyurethane moving solutions for over 40 years. Our design and manufacturing capability lets us build components to your drawings, specifications and performance requirements, so they integrate directly into your equipment.
Polyurethane offers the highest abrasion resistance of any polymer family and is also the most versatile. Because it can be produced across a broad hardness range, it can replace almost any rubber, injection-moulded plastic or engineering plastic in an OEM design – often extending service life and reducing total cost of ownership.

Your OEM Polyurethane Partner
Using precision engineering techniques and modern equipment, we design and deliver polyurethane components to suit your product and production schedule. Our in-house moulding processes allow us to manufacture custom shapes, tune hardness and engineer load-bearing performance – giving OEMs a single, accountable source from design through to delivery.
- Built to your specification – parts made to your drawings, tolerances and material requirements.
- Prototype to production – validate designs with samples, then scale to repeat orders.
- Consistent quality – ISO 9001 accredited processes for reliable part-to-part consistency.
- Easy collaboration – SolidWorks design files can be shared directly with your engineering team, wherever you are.
Polyurethane Retyre Services
Extend the life of your wheels with a new polyurethane tyre. If the hub is still in good condition, we can recoat it: our team confirms your measurements and application needs, cleans the hub, recasts the tyre and machines it to suit.
- A cost-effective alternative to replacing complete wheels, reusing your existing hubs.
- In-house polyurethane tyre production.
- Standard and custom sizes and shapes.
- Tailored to your required hardness and application.
How Does Polyurethane Compare?
Compared to rubber
- Superior abrasion resistance
- Cut and tear resistant
- UV and ozone resistance
- Wider operating temperature range
- Thicker sections possible
- Colourability
- Can be manufactured with a FRAS rating (fire resistant and anti-static)
Compared to metal
- Non-corrosive
- Lightweight
- Impact resistant and flexible, with elastic memory
- Noise reduction
- Non-sparking
- Lower tooling cost than cast steel or iron parts
- Won’t damage steel or concrete surfaces the way steel components can
Compared to injection-moulded plastics
- High impact resistance
- Much lower tooling cost – ideal for low-to-medium OEM volumes
- Wide hardness range for more application flexibility
- Elastic memory and resilience
- Parts with very thick and very thin sections possible
- Lower cost fabrication
- Noise reduction in impact applications
