The R4055 manufactured by Richmond is a rigid frame castor and uses a rebound polyurethane wheel. This rigid castor is in our 300 series plate range and can safely take loads up to 140kg. The R4055 is assembled with stainless steel roller bearings on the castors axle and is plate mount. The rigid frame allows for steering only when used with swivel castors. The rebound polyurethane wheel diameter is 100mm, the wheel width is 35mm and can be ordered separately (RP4072).
Meeting and exceeding all performance standards due to a higher load bearing capacity, the 300 Series has a wide range of uses. A nylon wheel in a 300 series is most common for industrial and trolley applications, a rebound rubber wheel is ideal for road cases and transportable crates whilst a poly nylon wheel is best suited to undercover and showroom displays. Cast Iron, Poly Cast Iron and Aluminium wheels are also available with this series.

This castor series has a higher load capacity of up to 300kg, making it perfect for a wide range of uses. This series has a wide choice of wheels to optimise performance in every application. For example, polyurethane on nylon castor wheels for lightweight equipment to be rolled across dance floors, through to castor wheels manufactured from a high temperature polymer, that facilitates baking racks being rolled in and out of industrial ovens. The 300 series castor also has a built in self-aligning castor frame in the 150mm and 200mm sized models. This feature makes it ideal for AGV trolleys.
